34. All That Remains: Jashari House, Prekaz, Kosova, 1999.
Adem Jashari was a leader in the Kosova Liberation Army. On March 5, 1998, the family compound was overrun by the Serbian army, and everyone-men, women and children-was slaughtered. Fifty-one family members are buried in a cemetery across from the ruins of the house, now being renovated as a national shrine.
